The Women’s Forum of Litchfield welcomes Karen Griska, who will speak about some of the techniques she uses when choosing colors and designs and will be bringing 30 quilts for display to the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT on Thursday, January 9, beginning at 2:30pm.
Karen Griska of Litchfield has made over 300 original quilts. She will present some of her favorites, including quilts with thousands of pieces, optical illusion selvage quilts, and a Pine Burr quilt. Karen is an author, blogger, quilt pattern designer, and lecturer to quilt guilds. Her quilts have been featured in many books, magazines, museum exhibits and quilt shows. Karen loves the creative process and will share some thoughts that apply to all creative endeavors.
The event will be open to non-Forum members with a $10 fee at the door, which includes a High Tea reception. The contacts for more information are 860-567-3966.
