The Women’s Forum of Litchfield welcomes Catherine Fields to speak on the subject “Beyond the Social Notes: Litchfield’s Remarkable Women of the Early 20th Century.” Throughout Litchfield’s history, the town has been home to a number of remarkable women. Residents in the early 20th century saw Litchfield women who piloted planes, authored books and fought hard for the right to vote. There were progressive educators, artists, Girl Scout leaders, and Red Cross volunteers, among many more notable women.
The program will be held at the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT on Thursday, October 3, beginning at 2:30pm. The event will be open to non-Forum members with a $10 fee at the door, which includes a High Tea reception. The contacts for more information are 860-567-3966 and womensforumoflitchfield.org.
